Davido Denies $50,000 Debt Accusation; Portabl Calls Out Top Nigerian Musicians

Nigerian singer Davido, also known as David Adeleke, voiced his displeasure over false allegations of a $50,000 debt related to his wedding plans. The accusations surfaced on social media, credited to the CEO of the company in charge of Davido and Chioma's wedding.

However, event planner Funk Bucknor debunked the claims, calling them false and misleading. In a social media post, Bucknor clarified that Davido did not owe any unpaid debt.

Meanwhile, another Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portabl, accused top musicians like Wizkid, Olamide, and Burna Boy of obstructing the progress of emerging artists. Portabl alleged that these established artists, including Davido, have dominated the Nigerian music industry for years and urged them to stop pressuring and displaying excessive wealth, hindering the rise of new talents.
