Nigerian singer Portable, also known as Habeeb Okikiola, has stirred controversy by accusing popular Afrobeat artists like Wizkid, Olamide, Davido, and Burna Boy of lying about their wealth and hindering the growth of emerging talents in the music industry. In a social media post, Portable criticized his senior colleagues for putting pressure on upcoming musicians to display wealth and urged them to stop obstructing the rise of new stars.

He also released a video comparing himself to Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti, claiming that no musician today surpasses him.
