Tiger Woods Arrested for DUI After Florida Car Crash

Tiger Woods was arrested on Friday in Florida and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) after being involved in a rollover car crash. The incident occurred near his home in Jupiter Island, with Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek confirming that Woods showed signs of impairment but passed a breathalyzer test.

Despite this, he refused a urine analysis test, which led to formal DUI charges for property damage. Neither Woods nor the other driver was injured in the crash.

The sheriff indicated that Woods was entitled to refuse the urine test under Florida law, but this refusal would not prevent the DUI charges. The incident adds to Woods' tumultuous career, which has seen significant challenges, including a serious car crash in California five years prior that resulted in severe leg injuries.

Woods, a 15-time major winner, had recently returned to competition after multiple surgeries and was preparing for upcoming tournaments.
