TikTok Star Peller Raises Alarm Over Lagos State’s N36 Million Tax Demand

TikTok star Peller expressed alarm over Lagos State's demand for a N36 million tax payment during a livestream chat with singer Peruzzi. Peller revealed that the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service insisted on the payment, which he deemed unaffordable.

The Taskforce warned Peller to pay up or face potential jail time. Peruzzi advised Peller to settle the tax bill promptly, emphasizing the importance of fulfilling tax obligations in Nigeria.

Peller, who rose to fame last year, criticized the government for not supporting him despite his publicized TikTok earnings. He also suggested that the authorities might be targeting him for flaunting his wealth on social media.

Peruzzi recommended that Peller request more time to resolve the issue. Peller, frustrated by the tax demand, maintained that his income from social media platforms outside Nigeria should not be subject to such hefty taxes.
