Tinubu's 2027 Bid: City Boy Movement Forms Pact

On April 14, 2026, the City Boy Movement and the Southwest Arewa Community Renew Hope Agenda Asiwaju 2027 sealed a mobilization pact to bolster the re-election bid of Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 general elections. The meeting took place at the City Boy Movement secretariat in Ogudu GRA, Kosof Local Government Area, Lagos.

Alhaji Shehu Usman Sampam, the Director General of the Southwest Arewa Community Renew Hope Agenda Asiwaju 2027, emphasized the alliance's goal to strengthen grassroots mobilization across the southwest in support of Tinubu's second term ambitions. Sampam praised the current administration's efforts in driving economic and infrastructural transformation.

The alliance, popularly known as SWAC, aims to target one million votes from the six southwest states. Moyosor Ogunlew, the Chairman of the Kosof Local Government and Director General of the City Boy Movement, expressed readiness to partner with the Arewa group, highlighting the importance of coordinated strategies for sustained mobilization to ensure electoral success for the APC in the upcoming elections.
