Tinubu Appoints Major General Fadewa as Security Adviser

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu appointed Major General Fadewa (Rtd) as an adviser on homeland security, emphasizing the need to strengthen internal security coordination and enhance intelligence-driven operations. The appointment was announced in a circular issued by the Permanent Secretary of the General Service Office, Dr.

Ibrahim Abubakar Kana. Major General Fadewa (Rtd) has a distinguished military career spanning three decades, including significant roles in military intelligence and national security strategy.

He previously served as the Principal Staff Officer at the Office of the National Security Adviser from 2015 to 2021, where he played a pivotal role in shaping Nigeria's modern intelligence coordination framework and establishing the Intelligence Fusion Centre. Following his retirement, he continued to contribute as a Senior Research Fellow at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre in Abuja.

President Tinubu expressed confidence that Major General Fadewa (Rtd) would enhance the administration's efforts towards achieving a safer Nigeria through improved coordination of homeland security initiatives.
