Tinubu Appoints Obih, Akinfeleye To Varsity Governing Councils

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Hon Chisom Obih to the Governing Council of Alex Ekwueme Federal University in Ebonyi State, following the death of a council member. Renowned communication scholar Ralph Akinfeleye has also been appointed to the Governing Council of Obafemi Awolowo University in Osun State.

Additionally, Tinubu appointed Ibrahim Adamu Yakasai as Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Health Sciences and Technology in Zamfara State, along with other key positions in the university's administration. Yakasai, a retired Army Colonel, is also the chair of the Committee of Provosts of Colleges of Medicine in Nigeria and holds several medical qualifications.

These appointments aim to strengthen the governance and leadership of these educational institutions.
