Tinubu Directs Finance Minister to Update Nigerians on Reforms

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has instructed Taiwo Oyedele, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, to provide an update to Nigerians regarding the progress of the government's reform initiatives. This update, referred to as the Reforms Scorecard, is intended to outline the achievements of the reforms, the difficulties encountered, and the economic costs that the government believes have been avoided through these decisions.

Tinubu emphasized the importance of transparency, stating that the scorecard would help Nigerians understand the rationale behind the government's policy choices. He reiterated his commitment to building a stronger economy and a better future for Nigeria, as promised when the reforms began in 2023.

Oyedele is tasked with explaining the figures, policy choices, and the progress made under the reform program, as well as addressing the challenges that remain.
