Tinubu's Economic Reforms Gain Support from Deloitte Africa

On Wednesday, President Bola Tinubu received a delegation from Deloitte Africa, led by Chief Executive Officer Ruwayda Redfearn, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. Tinubu asserted that the economic reforms initiated by his administration are starting to show positive outcomes, despite the short-term challenges they may impose.

He acknowledged the sacrifices required for these reforms, which he believes will lay the groundwork for sustainable national growth and enhance Nigeria's competitiveness in the global economy. Tinubu defended the reforms, stating that they strengthen public finances and improve revenue generation.

He recalled his early career with Deloitte, emphasizing the firm's role in shaping his professional journey. Ruwayda Redfearn expressed Deloitte's support for the Nigerian government's economic transformation agenda and highlighted the firm's commitment to deploying local expertise to assist in this effort.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from Deloitte to collaborate with the federal government on fiscal reforms and human capital development programs aimed at equipping Nigerian youth with competitive skills.
