Tinubu Urges Senate Confirmation of Abdullahi Ramat as NERC Chairman

Bola Tinubu has written to the Senate seeking confirmation for the appointment of Engr. Abdullahi Garba Ramat as the Chairman and CEO of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, read the letter during plenary. Engr.

Ramat, with a background in electrical engineering and a Ph.D. in strategic management, is nominated alongside other candidates for the NERC Commission. The nominees include Abubakar Yusuf and Dr.

Fouad Olayinka Animashun. The confirmation process is pending Senate approval.
