Tinubu's Economic Performance Praised by APC's Morka

Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), asserted that Nigeria has emerged from economic difficulties under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, claiming that Tinubu has outperformed all previous democratically elected presidents in his first term. Morka made these statements during an interview on Channels Television, defending the economic policies of the Tinubu administration, which began in May 2023.

He emphasized that Tinubu inherited a troubled economy and that various economic indicators demonstrate progress. Morka criticized the governance of previous administrations, particularly the 16 years of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in power.

He described Muhammadu Buhari as a 'stopgap president' who prevented the country from further crisis during his term. Morka defended Tinubu's controversial economic reforms, including the removal of the petrol subsidy and changes to the foreign exchange system, asserting that these policies are beginning to yield positive results.
