Tinubu Celebrates Kumuyi on His 85th Birthday

President Bola Tinubu congratulated Pastor William Kumuyi, the founder and General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, on his 85th birthday. In a statement released on Saturday, signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu described Kumuyi as a remarkable servant of God whose unwavering faith has shaped influential Christian ministry in Nigeria for five decades.

The President praised Kumuyi's impact, noting that his ministry reaches far beyond church walls and national borders, bringing hope and encouragement to millions worldwide. Tinubu highlighted that Kumuyi's ministry has produced a generational impact on families and leadership, transforming lives and restoring families while inspiring leaders and strengthening faith.

He prayed for Kumuyi's continued health and vitality, asking Almighty God to grant him strength, divine health, peace, and abundant grace. Kumuyi was born on June 6, 1941, in Erin Ijesha, Osun State, and founded the Deeper Life Bible Church in 1973, which has grown to become one of the largest Pentecostal denominations in Africa, with congregations in 150 countries.
