Tinubu Commissions Nigeria Revenue Service Headquarters

On Tuesday, President Bola Tinubu officially commissioned the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) headquarters in Abuja, declaring that no nation can achieve prosperity without a robust revenue system. This event marked a significant milestone in Tinubu's administration's fiscal reform agenda, which aims to improve transparency and efficiency in public taxation.

The president highlighted that the government is embarking on broad tax reforms to simplify processes, remove distortions, and create a fairer system that supports investment and economic growth. Early results of these reforms have reportedly shown improvements in fiscal stability and increased investor confidence.

Tinubu described the new NRS headquarters as a symbol of professional accountability, urging the agency to focus not just on revenue collection but also on building trust with citizens. Senate President Godswill Akpabio praised the reforms for significantly boosting revenue generation and strengthening fiscal performance at the state level.

House Speaker Tajudeen Abba noted that the new headquarters reflects institutional discipline, while Guan Shuai, Managing Director of CCECC Nigeria, commended the project's timely completion.
