Tinubu Orders Free Rice Distribution for Ramadan and Lent

President Bola Tinubu has initiated a free nationwide distribution of rice to support citizens during the ongoing Lent and Ramadan seasons. This directive was disclosed by Hope Uzodimma, the Governor of Imo State and Director General of the Renew Hope Ambassador, in a statement issued over the weekend.

The initiative is designed to strengthen national unity and demonstrate compassion during this spiritually significant period for both Muslims and Christians. The distribution will occur across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), ensuring that families benefit from this intervention during the holy season.

This effort reflects the administration's commitment to supporting citizens during important religious and cultural times, similar to a previous rice distribution carried out during the last Christmas season.
