Tinubu Celebrates Rescue of Oyo Abducted Children, Teachers

President Bola Tinubu expressed his joy regarding the successful rescue of abducted children and teachers from Oriir community in Ogbomoso, Oyo State. He commended the heroic efforts of security agencies, particularly the military, Department of State Services (DSS), and police, who worked continuously for 56 days to secure the release of the abductees without collateral damage.

During this operation, eight abductors were arrested, and others were neutralized. President Tinubu acknowledged the anguish experienced by the families of the victims and the entire nation due to this sad occurrence.

He directed emergency agencies to collaborate with the Oyo State Government to provide necessary medical relief and support for the rescued individuals. The President expressed gratitude on behalf of the country to the armed forces and intelligence agencies for their successful operation, which ended a 50-day standoff and brought relief to affected families.
