Tinubu Celebrates Rescue of Abducted Children in Oyo

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu expressed his joy over the successful rescue of abducted children and teachers in Oriire, Ogbomoso, Oyo State. The rescue operation, which lasted 56 days, involved the military, Department of State Services (DSS), and police working tirelessly to secure the release of the victims without collateral damage.

Eight abductors were arrested, and others were neutralized during the operation. Tinubu acknowledged the anguish experienced by the families of the victims and the entire nation due to this sad occurrence.

He commended the Oyo State Government for its cooperation in the rescue efforts and charged them to ensure adequate security around schools across the state. The President expressed profound happiness at the successful rescue and extended gratitude to the armed forces, intelligence agencies, and police for their heroic efforts.

He directed emergency agencies to work with the Oyo State Government to provide necessary medical relief and support for the rescued children and teachers.
