Tinubu Calls for Unity and Cooperation Among Critics

On June 27, 2023, President Bola Tinubu extended a hand of friendship to his critics, calling for cooperation in the interest of national unity and progress. During a speech in Abuja, he acknowledged the security challenges facing Nigeria and promised a serious response to safeguard the lives and properties of all Nigerians.

Tinubu emphasized the importance of dialogue and engagement over anger, stating that democracy thrives on diverse beliefs and ideas. He noted that his administration will not relent until peace is fully restored across Nigeria.

Tinubu received his certificate of return as the APC presidential candidate and listed various achievements since taking office on May 29, 2023, including reforms in the economy, education, and power supply. He also mentioned plans to address the root causes of insecurity and the need for constitutional amendments to allow for state policing.

The speech was attended by APC stakeholders, including governors and members of the National Working Committee.
