Tinubu Commends Troops for Eliminating Bandit Kingpin

President Bola Tinubu praised the Nigerian Army for their successful operation that led to the elimination of notorious bandit kingpin Ibrahim Bastuji in Kogi State. Tinubu characterized this achievement as a notable blow to criminal networks terrorizing the region.

He released a statement through Bayo Onanuga, emphasizing the operation's significance in restoring safety to the affected communities. Additionally, Tinubu approved the recruitment of 1,000 forest guards in Katsina State to bolster security efforts in the area, as announced by Governor Dikko Radda during a briefing with journalists.

The operation also involved the rescue of Hajiya Amina Rabe Abubakar, the widow of late Major General Rabe Abubakar, demonstrating the high standards of professionalism among security forces. The President reassured Nigerians of the government's commitment to providing support to the armed forces in their ongoing fight against insecurity.
