Tinubu to Host Yusuf's APC Reception in Kano Monday

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President of Nigeria, is scheduled to visit Kano on Monday for the formal reception of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf into the All Progressives Congress (APC). The grand reception will occur at Sani Abacha Stadium in Kofar Mata.

Vice President Kashim Shettima and several APC governors are expected to attend this significant political gathering, aimed at consolidating the party's influence in the North West region. APC Chairman Abdullahi Abba described the reception as a major milestone for the party in Kano.

Extensive preparations are underway to ensure a hitch-free ceremony, with Abba disclosing the inauguration of several committees to coordinate security and logistics for the event. A 15-member security committee, chaired by Col.

Umar Malami, will oversee security arrangements, while a 16-member venue committee, led by Bala Mohd Gwagwarwa, will manage the stadium facilities. Other committees include a public engagement committee and a health emergency committee, ensuring comprehensive management of the reception.
