Tinubu Hosts Religious Leaders for Interfaith Iftar in Abuja

On Monday, President Bola Tinubu hosted traditional and religious leaders in Abuja, including the Sultan of Sokoto and Chairman of the National Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III. The gathering was part of an interfaith Iftar organized to bring together leaders from various religious traditions in Nigeria.

During the event, President Tinubu addressed the leaders about his administration's commitment to rescuing Nigeria from its imminent financial crisis, emphasizing economic stabilization initiatives aimed at alleviating hardships caused by government reforms. He highlighted the importance of developing various sectors of the economy to secure a better future for the next generation of Nigerians.

Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III noted the significance of the coinciding fasting periods of Ramadan for Muslims and Lent for Christians, symbolizing the need for unity and peaceful coexistence in Nigeria. The traditional rulers expressed confidence in Tinubu's administration to address the security challenges facing the country and pledged their continued support and loyalty to traditional institutions of governance.
