Tinubu inaugurates 80-bed mother, child hospital in Delta

Former Lagos State Governor and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, inaugurated the 80-bed Renewed Hope Mother Child Specialist Hospital in Ugbuwangue, Delta State. The facility was officially handed over to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Asaba management on Tuesday.

Princess Adejoke, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals, praised the hospital as a landmark project in Nigeria's drive to achieve Goal 3 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The hospital is equipped with an operating theatre, recovery room, ward, consulting room, and diagnostic facilities.

It is expected to treat thousands of patients annually, reducing the burden on families seeking medical treatment elsewhere. The hospital is seen as a beacon of hope for a healthier future and is expected to create jobs and improve productivity in Delta State.

Local stakeholders have pledged their support to ensure the hospital's success.
