Tinubu Slashes Dialysis Cost In Federal Hospitals To N12,000

President Bola Tinubu has approved a significant subsidy to reduce the cost of dialysis sessions for kidney patients in federal hospitals to N12,000. This new rate has already been implemented in several federal medical centers and teaching hospitals across the country.

The subsidy is part of the government's efforts to expand access to healthcare and reduce preventable deaths. The initiative follows Tinubu's approval last year for free caesarean sections for pregnant women in federal hospitals.

The Presidency has stated that this intervention is part of the Renewed Hope Agenda to ensure that Nigerians are not denied access to healthcare due to financial constraints. The government plans to expand this subsidy nationwide by the end of the year.
