PDP Chieftain Claims Tinubu Holds More Power Than Trump

Emmanuel Ogidi, a chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), declared in an interview with Trust TV that Nigerian President Bola Tinubu possesses greater power than former U.S. President Donald Trump.

Ogidi based his assertion on Tinubu's extensive influence over Nigeria's executive branch and his stronger control over the legislature compared to Trump's experience in the U.S. Congress.

He emphasized that bills sent to Nigeria's National Assembly often pass with minimal resistance, contrasting this with Trump's challenges in the U.S. Senate.

Ogidi also highlighted the internal crises within the PDP, referencing recent defections of governors and the party's efforts to maintain unity. He expressed frustration within the PDP, reflecting broader discontent among Nigerians regarding political instability and the pressures faced by ordinary citizens.

Ogidi concluded by urging caution in the upcoming elections, stressing the importance of democratic values and party discipline.
