Tinubu Hosts Sultan Abubakar at Iftar Dinner in Abuja

On March 9, 2023, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu hosted an interfaith iftar dinner at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where he met with Sultan Sa'ad Abubakar III, who was represented by Yahaya Abubakar, the Etsu Nupe. The meeting occurred during a period of Ramadan, a significant time for Muslims, and aimed to foster collaboration on national issues.

The Sultan, who is the President of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, engaged in a private audience with the President, exchanging pleasantries. The interfaith iftar dinner also brought together Muslim and Christian leaders, including Archbishop Daniel Okoh and Dr. Stephen Baba Panya, representing the Evangelical Church Winning All, showcasing unity among religious groups during Ramadan.
