Bola Tinubu Names Ismail Abba Yusuf as New NAHCON Chairman, Senate Approval Pending

Bola Tinubu, a prominent Nigerian politician, has nominated Ismail Abba Yusuf as the new Chairman and CEO of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON). This appointment follows the resignation of Professor Abdulahi Usman from the position.

The nomination is in line with the provisions of the NAHCON Act of 2006, which requires Senate approval. Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu's Information Strategist, confirmed the appointment and sent a letter to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, requesting swift confirmation of Ambassador Yusuf.

Ismail Abba Yusuf is a seasoned Nigerian career diplomat who served as Nigeria's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Turkey from 2021 to 2024.
