Bola Tinubu Affirms Nigeria's Commitment to Delivering Cleaner Energy at International Summit

Bola Tinubu, speaking at the 9th Nigeria International Energy Summit in Abuja, reiterated Nigeria's readiness to work with African nations, global partners, and the private sector to provide secure, affordable, and cleaner energy solutions. He highlighted the critical role of energy in global stability and emphasized Nigeria's focus on utilizing its vast gas reserves, transitioning to renewable energy, and ensuring energy security for economic stability.

Tinubu outlined efforts by the Nigerian government to boost the energy sector, including implementing the Petroleum Industry Act, strengthening regulatory institutions, and attracting foreign direct investment. He noted positive developments such as increased rig counts and investments exceeding $8 billion in the oil and gas subsector.

Tinubu's address aimed to engage constructive investment partners for Nigeria's energy sector growth, with support from international leaders like Adama Barrow of Gambia and Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo of Equatorial Guinea.
