Ahmad: Opposition Lacks Convincing Agenda Against Tinubu

Bashir Ahmad, who served as a media aide to the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, expressed that the opposition in Nigeria has failed to present a convincing alternative agenda to the current administration led by President Bola Tinubu. Ahmad noted that as the 2027 elections draw nearer, the opposition appears fragmented, with many aspirants lacking a clear and practical roadmap to offer Nigerians.

He criticized the opposition for recycling old ideas and not providing a distinct vision capable of moving Nigeria forward. Ahmad asserted that President Tinubu is expected to continue in office until 2031, and he emphasized the importance of having a workable policy and vision to avoid risking the loss of the presidency.

He concluded that none of the opposition candidates have yet presented a convincing alternative that could effectively challenge Tinubu's presidency.
