Tinubu Presents ₦54.46 Trillion 2026 Budget Focused on Defense and Infrastructure

Nigerian politician Bola Ahmed Tinubu has unveiled the ₦54.46 trillion budget for 2026 to the National Assembly, with a significant allocation to defense and security at 5.41 trillion. The budget also prioritizes infrastructure (3.56 trillion), education (3.52 trillion), and health (2.48 trillion) sectors.

The budget is anchored on a crude oil benchmark of $64.85 per barrel and an exchange rate of 1,400 US dollars for the fiscal year 2026. This budget proposal aims to consolidate and renew resources for shared prosperity in Nigeria.
