Bola Tinubu Reconstitutes NERC Board to Deepen Nigeria's Power Sector Transformation

Bola Tinubu, a prominent Nigerian politician, has approved the reconstitution of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) Board, appointing Dr. Mulisiu Olalekan Oseni as the Chairman.

Other new appointees include Dr. Yusuf Ali as Vice Chairman, with existing members like Nathan Roger Shatti and Aisha Mahmud Kanti Bello serving second terms.

The goal is to enhance and consolidate the ongoing transformation of Nigeria's power sector in accordance with the provisions of the Electricity Act of 2023. Dr.

Fouad Animashaun, an experienced energy economist, has also joined the Commission. The new Board is tasked with strict adherence to the regulatory framework to improve the country's power sector.
