Bola Tinubu Reconstitutes NERC Board to Deepen Power Sector Reforms

Bola Tinubu has reconstituted the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) board following Senate confirmation of board members. Dr.

Musiliu Oseni has been appointed as the chairman, with Dr. Yusuf Ali as the vice chairman.

Other members include Nathan Shatti, Dafe Akpeney, Aisha Kanti Bello, Dr. Chidi Ik, and Dr.

Fouad Animashaun, an energy economist with extensive experience in the Nigerian power sector. The appointments are part of efforts to consolidate reforms in the power sector.

Oseni's tenure as chairman will last for 10 years in line with the Electricity Act 2023.
