Uzodimma Praises Tinubu for Fuel Crisis Management

Hope Uzodimma, the Governor of Imo State, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his economic reforms that have helped protect Nigeria from a potential fuel crisis exacerbated by ongoing conflicts in the Middle East. Uzodimma made these remarks during a visit from members of the Citi Boi Movement at the Government House in Owerri.

He noted that despite the rise in global fuel prices, Nigeria has avoided severe fuel shortages and sharp domestic price increases due to Tinubu's initiatives. The governor highlighted the impact of Middle East tensions, particularly the military operations involving Israel and the United States against Iran, which have disrupted global oil supply routes.

He also pointed out that the removal of fuel subsidies has stabilized the foreign exchange market, allowing Dangote Refinery to purchase crude oil in naira. Uzodimma emphasized the importance of preparing Nigerian youth for future leadership roles and assured the Citi Boi Movement of the administration's support for their initiatives.
