Uzodimma Hails Tinubu for Fuel Price Stability in Nigeria

Hope Uzodimma, the Governor of Imo State, commended President Bola Tinubu for averting a potential fuel crisis in Nigeria, maintaining fuel prices at N1,300 per litre despite global tensions, particularly in the Middle East. During a visit to the Government House in Owerri, Uzodimma emphasized that Tinubu's reforms have prevented domestic fuel price hikes and ensured the naira remains stable at N1,240 against the US dollar.

He noted that this stability is significant given the volatility of the naira over the past decade. Uzodimma also praised the removal of fuel subsidies, which he believes has contributed to the stabilization of the exchange rate, allowing local refiners like Dangote to purchase crude oil more effectively.

He called for continued support for youth initiatives and highlighted the importance of infrastructure development in the South East region, urging the delegation to act in ways that renew hope among the populace.
