Tinubu to Visit UK for High-Level Talks March 2024

Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to undertake a state visit to the United Kingdom from March 17 to March 19, 2024. The visit will commence with extensive security checks and road closures ahead of his arrival on March 18.

He will be formally welcomed by Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, with a ceremony that includes the playing of the national anthem and an inspection of the guard of honour at Datchet Road. The program will feature a formal reception, a 21-gun salute, and a state luncheon at St.

George's Hall within Windsor Castle. During his visit, President Tinubu is expected to hold discussions with senior British officials, including Prime Minister Keir Starmer, focusing on trade, security, and migration management.

The visit will also include cultural exchanges showcasing Nigerian heritage and a private breakfast meeting with King Charles III and Queen Camilla. Tinubu's trip marks Nigeria's first full state visit to the UK in 57 years and aims to strengthen diplomatic relations and expand cooperation across various sectors.
