Tinubu Optimistic About Nigeria's Economic Future

During an interfaith breakfast held on a Friday night at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, President Bola Tinubu addressed members of the House of Representatives, stating that the tension surrounding the removal of subsidies has reduced and that better days lie ahead for Nigeria's economy. He expressed gratitude for the unity displayed by the members and highlighted the importance of establishing state police to enhance security across the country.

Tinubu commended Speaker Tajudeen Abba for his exemplary leadership qualities and noted the impressive turnout at the event, which coincided with Ramadan. He acknowledged the challenges faced during his administration's first year, including economic pessimism, but pointed to positive indicators such as decreased inflation and increased agricultural activity.

Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to correcting past mistakes and emphasized the need for support in the upcoming elections, as he noted that 80% of the National Assembly members may not return, which could undermine legislative continuity.
