Amaechi Critiques Opposition Leaders' Weaknesses

During a press conference on Thursday, former Minister of Transport Rotimi Amaechi addressed the weaknesses of Nigeria's opposition leaders, stating that their inability to present a strong front is what allows President Bola Tinubu to thrive politically. Amaechi argued that the primary issue facing Nigeria is not Tinubu himself but rather the shortcomings of the opposition.

He called for opposition parties to clearly distance themselves from the ruling government to gain public confidence. Amaechi also highlighted the need for electoral reforms, recalling that during President Muhammadu Buhari's administration, certain ministers had convinced Buhari not to sign an electoral reform bill.

He criticized the opposition for failing to demonstrate their capacity to act and effect change, suggesting that real change would occur when they show a united and capable front. He concluded by stating that God would bless their efforts if they took action.
