Tinubu Advocates for Swift Justice at Court Inauguration

During the inauguration of the new Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal, President Bola Tinubu called on judges to ensure that justice is swift, fair, and impartial. He highlighted the importance of a robust judicial system as a cornerstone of democracy and expressed the need for reforms to address the backlog of cases that frustrate citizens.

Tinubu instructed the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike to expedite the completion of the court complex, which is expected to enhance the efficiency of the judicial process. The new complex will feature two large and eight smaller courtrooms, aimed at reducing congestion and improving the speed of case resolution.

Tinubu acknowledged the heavy workload faced by the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal and expressed confidence that the new infrastructure would significantly improve the judicial system. He reiterated the administration's commitment to judicial reform and the rule of law, emphasizing that the judiciary must restore dignity and serve the people effectively.
