Tinubu Inaugurates Judges' Housing Unit in Abuja

On Wednesday, President Bola Tinubu inaugurated a newly built housing unit for judges of the Federal High Court in Katampe District, Abuja. During the event, he stressed that true judicial independence is rooted in the dignity and welfare of judicial officers.

Tinubu emphasized the need to protect the dignity of judges to maintain a justice system that is free from manipulation and compromise. He noted that the project is a significant step towards fulfilling his administration's promise to rebuild trust in national institutions and ensure the rule of law.

The housing unit aims to provide judges with a secure and comfortable living environment, which is essential for them to dispense justice without fear or favor. Tinubu also commended Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, for his effective management of public service projects, including the timely completion of the judges' quarters.

Chief Justice John Tsoho expressed delight at the inauguration, highlighting its significance in reaffirming the nation's commitment to judicial independence.
