Coalition Urges Tinubu to Sack CEO Over Corruption Allegations

A coalition of civil society organizations in Nigeria has called on Bola Tinubu to swiftly remove Farouk Ahmed, the CEO of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), following corruption allegations. Ahmed is accused of economic sabotage and colluding with international traders to hinder local refineries.

Aliko Dangote accused Ahmed of economic sabotage and extravagant spending on his children's education in Switzerland. Timi Frank, a political activist, also urged Tinubu to launch a full investigation into the corruption claims.

The allegations have raised concerns about integrity and corruption within the government.
