Reno Omokri Believes Bola Tinubu Poses Strong Challenge for Opposition in 2027 Elections

Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide, asserts that opposition parties face an uphill battle in defeating Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, citing Tinubu's strong support base and political influence. Omokri points out the challenges faced by the opposition, especially after Tinubu's alleged garnering of support from around 30 governors.

He highlights a major political shift in Kano State, where Tinubu's influence has grown significantly. Despite some dissent within opposition ranks, such as from Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Governor Abba Yusuf, Omokri emphasizes the economic gains under Tinubu's leadership, including lower inflation and increased foreign reserves.

Omokri concludes that Tinubu's policies have positively impacted Nigeria's macroeconomic landscape, as acknowledged by the IMF in January 2026.
