Tinubu Seeks Senate Confirmation for FERMA Chairman Appointment

President Bola Tinubu has written to the Akpabio-led Senate requesting confirmation for the appointment of Musa Babayo as the chairman of the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA). Tinubu's letter was read during the plenary session, emphasizing the importance of Babayo's nomination in enhancing service delivery within the country.

The nomination aligns with the administration's efforts to revamp key institutions for better performance. Additionally, FERMA has signed a Strategic Framework Agreement with the LSFA Global Cooperation Promotion Research Centre, a Chinese think tank, to enhance cooperation in road repair, transportation security, and road asset management.

This collaboration aims to improve infrastructure development in Nigeria.
