Amaechi Critiques Tinubu's Religious Administration

Rotimi Amaechi, the former governor of Rivers State, has publicly criticized President Bola Tinubu's administration, claiming it does not protect the interests of all religions in Nigeria. During a discussion on Channel Television, Amaechi expressed skepticism regarding Tinubu's leadership and the progress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) since Tinubu's victory in the presidential primaries in 2022.

He highlighted the ideological issues surrounding religious matters, stressing that society deserves a balanced approach. Amaechi recalled that Tinubu's candidacy in the 2023 elections was paired with Muslim vice-presidential candidate Kashim Shettima.

Furthermore, he indicated his readiness to support any candidate emerging from the APC for the 2027 presidential elections, while also reacting to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar's earlier statements regarding the ADC as a preferred choice for a flagbearer.
