Amaechi Critiques Tinubu Over Nigeria's Economic Crisis

In a television interview on Friday, former Minister of Transport and ex-Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, criticized President Bola Tinubu for his handling of Nigeria's economic crisis, which has led to increased hardship across the country. Amaechi stated that Tinubu has no right to speak on the matter, reflecting his disapproval of the current political landscape.

He expressed his disagreement with the options presented by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the 2027 presidential elections, emphasizing the need for a consensus candidate. Despite his criticisms, Amaechi indicated his readiness to support whoever emerges as the ADC presidential candidate, preferring that the party hold primary elections.

He also reacted to earlier statements made by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar regarding the ADC's potential flagbearer and highlighted the importance of considering ethnic and religious factors in Nigeria's political choices.
