Prince Anthony Adeboye to Chair Newstap/SWAN Awards

The Newstap/SWAN Five-Star Award is set to take place on March 6th at Eko Club in Surulere, Lagos. Prince Anthony Adeboye, the Senior Special Assistant on Grassroot Sports Development to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will chair the event.

Adeboye expressed commitment to ensuring the award maintains its prestigious and glamorous status, having achieved significant recognition in just two years. The award will honor five eminent Nigerians who have made immense contributions to sports development, aiming to inspire and spur support for the sector.

Notable figures to be honored include Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri, Niger State Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu, and others from various sectors contributing to sports. The inaugural edition of the award was chaired by Malam Shehu Dikko, with winners including Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State and philanthropist Kunle Soname.
