Dino Melaye Criticizes Tinubu's Clemency for 70 Drug Lords as Unprecedented

Former Senator Dino Melaye has criticized President Bola Tinubu for granting clemency to 70 drug lords, labeling it as unprecedented in history. Melaye described the move as unique and insisted that no government worldwide has ever granted such a large-scale pardon to drug offenders.

He advised President Tinubu to scrap the NDLEA, rendering the agency's efforts meaningless. Tinubu recently granted presidential clemency to 175 individuals, including late environmental activist Ken Saro Wiwa, nationalist Herbert Macaulay, Major General Mamman Vatsa, and Maryam Sanda, who was sentenced to death for killing her husband.
