Sowore Critiques Tinubu's Foreign Trips as Futile

In an interview on Channel Television, Omoyele Sowore, the former president of the African Action Congress, expressed strong criticism of President Bola Tinubu's foreign trips, describing them as "nothing more than diplomatic excursions." Sowore asserted that these trips have not yielded any tangible benefits for Nigeria since Tinubu assumed office in May 2023. He characterized the president's ongoing state visit to the United Kingdom as a waste of resources, emphasizing that the frequent travels over the past month have not resulted in any material gains for the country.

Sowore suggested that Nigerian musicians could deliver greater economic value through foreign tours compared to the diplomatic trips undertaken by President Tinubu.
