The move has been criticized by former Mayor Mike Arnold as contradictory to the reality faced by Nigerian Christians.

The lobbying firm is expected to assist the Nigerian government in legal communications to protect the Christian community and maintain US support against jihadist groups. The contract runs until June 2026 with provisions for termination.
