Atiku Criticizes Tinubu's Focus Amid Borno Terror Attack

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar condemned the recent deadly terrorist attack in Borno State, where approximately 100 residents were reportedly abducted. In a statement shared on Friday, Atiku lamented that President Bola Tinubu's administration appears more focused on exerting pressure on political opponents than tackling the rising insecurity in the country.

He described the incident as deeply troubling and criticized the federal government's inadequate response to similar attacks, which have contributed to an increasing wave of violence across Nigeria. Atiku accused the administration of losing its grip on the fight against terrorism and suggested that it has become numb to the bloodshed.

He expressed concern that the government seems to support ethnic militia groups instead of prioritizing the safety and security of citizens, particularly those in internally displaced persons (IDP) camps.
