Faleke Purchases ₦100 Million Forms for Tinubu's 2027 Bid

James Faleke, a lawmaker representing the Ikeja Federal Constituency, has taken a significant step in Bola Tinubu's re-election campaign by acquiring presidential nomination forms valued at ₦100 million. This action marks the formal commencement of Tinubu's bid for the presidency in the upcoming 2027 elections.

Faleke's involvement is notable as he is a founder of a support group for Tinubu. Additionally, he has also picked up a governorship nomination form worth ₦50 million for Lagos State, where Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat is seeking to succeed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the presidential and national assembly elections for Saturday, January 16, 2027, while the governorship and state house assembly elections will take place on Saturday, February 6, 2027. INEC has also announced that party primaries will run from April 23, 2026, to May 30, 2026, with campaigns for the presidential elections beginning on August 19, 2026, and for the governorship elections starting on September 9, 2026.
