Tinubu Secures N100 Million Re-election Forms for 2027

On Tuesday, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the current president of Nigeria, officially acquired his re-election forms valued at N100 million, signaling the commencement of his campaign for the presidential election set for January 16, 2027. The forms were obtained on behalf of Tinubu by James Faleke, a member of the House of Representatives representing Ikeja Federal Constituency.

The presentation of the forms took place during a ceremony held in Abuja, organized by the All Progressives Congress (APC). Suleiman Argungu, the national organizing secretary of the APC, was present to declare the process open.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the presidential and national assembly elections for January 16, 2027, with the governorship and state house assembly elections following on February 6, 2027. The party primaries are set to resolve disputes and will occur between April 23 and May 30, 2026, while the campaign for the presidential and national assembly elections will commence on August 19, 2026, and for the governorship and state assembly contests on September 9, 2026.
