NASENI Constructs Agricultural Incubation Centre at Abuja Varsity to Boost Food Security

The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has initiated the construction of a cutting-edge Agricultural Incubation Centre at Yakubu Gowon University in Abuja, formerly known as the University of Abuja. The project, spanning 10 hectares, aims to boost food security by integrating poultry, aquaculture, and crop cultivation research with modern agricultural technologies.

Once completed, the facility will serve as a model for replication across Nigeria's six geopolitical zones. The project aligns with the federal government's food security agenda and is part of a broader strategy to advance agricultural research and knowledge transfer.

Similar initiatives are planned for Bayero University Kano and Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University in Bauchi.
